2007年5月16日，第42届美国乡村音乐奖颁奖礼（the 42nd Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards ）5月15日在拉斯维加斯“米高梅豪华花园露天剧场”（MGM Grand Garden Arena）举行。歌手Reba McEntire 担任主持人。女歌手Sara Evans ，Montgomery Gentry乐队、专辑最畅销的乡村女歌手Shania Twain担任颁奖嘉宾。

　　获奖名单：

　　Brooks & Dunn乐队获得最佳“二人/演唱组合”（Vocal Duo），成员Kix Brooks 领奖，女歌手Sara Evans 担任颁奖嘉宾。

　　乡村歌手比尔·安得森（Bill Anderson）凭借歌曲《Give It Away》获得“年度最佳歌曲”（Song of the Year），George Strait 担任颁奖嘉宾。

　　肯尼-切斯尼(Kenny Chesney)获得年度艺人(Entertainer of the Year) ，女星Shania Twain担任嘉宾。

　　歌手Kimberly Roads、乡村乐队组合Little Big Town获得最佳新人二人/演唱组合(Top New Duo or Vocal Group) 。女星Michelle Stafford 颁奖。

　　第四届“美国偶像大赛”冠军Carrie Underwood获得最佳女歌手（Top Female Vocalist），此外，还获得年度专辑（Album of the Year）

　　女歌手Miranda Lambert获得获得最佳新人女歌手（Top New Female Vocalist）。男歌手Brad Paisley获得最佳新人男歌手(Top New Male Vocalist)

　　男歌手George Strait获得年度最佳单曲唱片(Single Record of the Year)
